We understand that the decision to move to independent living can be made for many reasons, and every resident has different needs.

Our residents are encouraged to maintain independence in all their activities, as far as they can. Maintaining relationships and personal contact with those outside the home, and continuing the activities that are important to them, are two of the many ways of maintaining social and personal independence.

We assist our residents to continue to engage in the world – and therefore we ensure that they have access to news and information about current affairs, that they vote and take part in community events. Our staff work with residents and their families and friends to help them achieve the balance between encouraging independence and providing necessary support.
